New branding intros for Fullscreen creators!

Last year, YouTube introduced InVideo Programming, a feature that lets you place calls to action across all your Youtube videos. Initially, you had the option of including branding watermarks or featured videos as part of your InVideo Programming. But YouTube just launched a new feature: the option to add branding intros at the start of your videos!

Three seconds to make an impact

Currently, YouTube is restricting these intros to three seconds. That may not seem like much time. But for branding purposes, it’s more than enough to display a logo or a call to action to like or subscribe. YouTube also wants to avoid creators using this feature to display ads, sponsorships, or product placements.

Let the branding begin

YouTube’s recent blog post includes instructions on how to set up this feature on your YouTube channel.

  1. Upload the three-second intro video you’d like to use to your channel as an unlisted video.
  2. On your channel’s InVideo Programming page, click “Add a channel branding intro” and choose the intro from a list of eligible videos.
  3. Select which videos you want the intro to appear on. You can choose whether to add it to all of your videos or just the ones you’ve uploaded after a certain date. You can always remove or change the intro later.

Remember, the point of these intros is to quickly brand your videos—not meant lengthy motion intros or advertisements.

An intro just for Fullscreeners!

To get your creative juices flowing, here’s an example of what a three-second intro can look like:

Please note: Your use of these branded intros must comply with Fullscreen’s Trademark Content and Display Policy (read it here).

Enjoy your new intro, and good luck with your videos!
