We’re incredibly proud of O2L for winning the Teen Choice Award for Choice Web Star: Comedy this Sunday, as well as the 14 Fullscreen stars nominated for their excellence in five major Web categories.
This was a huge year for us because it was the first time in Teen Choice history that digital and social media stars received greater recognition alongside top TV, movie, and music talent. It’s a well-deserved moment for Fullscreen stars and #TeamInternet.
In the Choice Web Star: Female category, Grace Helbig and Andrea Russett were top nominees, while Connor Franta was nominated as Choice Web Star: Male.
Fullscreeners swept the nominations in the Comedy category, including JennXPenn, Our2ndLife (O2L), Lohanthony, and Brittani Louise Taylor. The fab five in real life—Lohanthony, Thatsojack, Andrew Lowe, JennXPenn and Rebecca Black—were nominated as a Choice Web Collaboration, and Jack and Jack were nominated as Choice Viners.
It was an early Sunday morning as Fullscreen nominees took over the Jeffrey Kara Salon on Sunset Boulevard and were glammed out by celebrity stylist Chris Rios and her team. O2L, the fab five, Andrea, Brittani, and Jack and Jack also arrived, mingled and sipped on smoothies and mineral water while hair was perfectly coiffed and makeup expertly done.
After spending 36 hours without wifi or cell service in the middle of Lake Powell in Utah to shoot a collab video with Fullscreen client Devin SuperTramp, JennXPenn, Ricky Dillon, and ThatSoJack arrived late on Saturday night, just in time for the Teen Choice Awards. It was a quick transformation from outdoorsy to blue carpet-ready.
JennXPenn and Andrea Russett wore Whitney Eve and were styled by Whitney Port, who invited the girls down to her showroom earlier in the week to be personally styled for the big event. Once it was showtime, talent and parent entourages headed to the awards show in three stretch limos.
On the scene, the Fullscreen team made sure everyone had time with the press and photo ops along the blue carpet. Mobs followed at every turn, but the talent were able to take time for pics with fans.
O2L won the category, but everyone was a winner last night. Most of all, we’d like to thank the fans, who are hugely important to Fullscreeners around the world, for putting in their votes. Congratulations to all the Teen Choice Awards winners and nominees!
