Rooster Teeth Joins Fullscreen

I’m excited to announce that Fullscreen has acquired the pioneering creative production studio, Rooster Teeth.

Over 11 years, Matt Hullum and Burnie Burns have created an online media empire. Their many different entertainment properties include the longest-running online series, “Red vs. Blue,” hit animated series like “RWBY”, record-setting crowd-funded projects like the upcoming feature film “Lazer Team,” a top-performing podcast network, a major annual event RTX (Rooster Teeth Expo), and one of YouTube’s leading multichannel networks.

Together, we will deliver more of the content fans love, in addition to developing new ambitious projects and experiences. CEO Matt Hullum shared some thoughts below as we welcome Rooster Teeth into the Fullscreen family.

“During the last three years Rooster Teeth has grown at a crazy pace. We’ve been releasing more videos than at any time in our history. In fact, on a per minute count, we now regularly put out more content every week than we used to in an entire year! Of course quantity is not the most important metric, and of all our accomplishments I’m most proud of the fact that we strive to improve the quality of all our shows every single day.

All of this growth has been amazing and exhilirating, but it’s also made us realize we need more support if we are going to take our company and our community even further. Burnie and I have been searching for a partner that could help Rooster Teeth to develop and grow, while allowing us to remain true to our core ideals and principles.

Today, I’m extraordinarily happy to tell you that we have found that ally, and we can announce that Rooster Teeth will now be a part of the Fullscreen family.

We’ve known the amazing team at Fullscreen for several years, and we are confident that they have the vision and integrity to enable us take Rooster Teeth to greater heights than we ever could have achieved solely on our own. This is a company that is paving the way for the future of media and entertainment, and it’s a future that we want to play a huge role in. Together our possibilities are endless.

We look forward to creating more fantastic content each and every day at Rooster Teeth, and working with Fullscreen will make that goal a whole lot easier. Thank you, the RT community, for your incredible enthusiasm and support these last 12 years. We hope you’ll love every minute of our next exciting chapter.”
